Hilary K. is a freelance artist living and working in Atlanta, Georgia. Her concentration is in painting and illustration.
Active as an artist for over a decade, Hilary’s work examines the relationships between stillness and chaos, and the quiet moments of decision between these two states. Most often represented literally by images of predator-and-prey, Hilary focuses on the natural world to express the tenuous and fundamentally hostile essence of social constructs. At times flirting with satire, other times humorous and devastating, Hilary attempts to use the least amount of movement possible to convey the greatest action.
Exhibiting in group and solo shows since 2009, Hilary directs most of her efforts towards editorial and conceptual projects for publications, events, and books.
A lifelong love of nature and the arts has taken Hilary to far-off places for exploration. When she is not painting she can be found running through the woods with her husband, Kyle, or enjoying the company of their small menagerie at home.
