Stephanie Raborn was raised in south Georgia and moved to Atlanta for college. While working at a clothing and jewelry boutique in the Virginia Highlands, she began to create personalized charm necklaces for the store. A couple of years--and a few jobs--later she participated in a local craft show, where a large retailer admired her work enough to place an order for an exclusive line. From there Las Lobas was born.
Las Lobas stands for "the she wolves'' in Spanish. The name was inspired by Women Who Run With the Wolves by Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes. Recommended by one of Stephanie's dear friends and a bastion of womanhood, the book describes "the powerful force, filled with good instincts, passionate creativity, and ageless knowing" inside every woman. In the same way, Las Lobas is for women, by women, and in wearing this jewelry you represent a little piece of the feminine wild. Go ahead, howl at the moon.
